Beaumont Primary Academy

Homework

As we move to being a more carbon- ecofriendly school we aim for all of our children to access their homework through Times Tables Rockstars and Spelling Shed as well as through reading for pleasure and developing their fluency by reading a book matched to their reading ability.

Reception

In Reception children are taught phonics through Little Wandle. They each take a reading book home matched to their phonetic skills to practise and embed skills.

Every week in Reception your child will have tasks set to practise their learning that week.

Each week they will have:

Phonics activity

Spelling Activity (Spelling Shed)

Maths task

Your child may also access Numbots an online maths learning platform.

Paper Copies

While we try to be more eco-friendly we acknowledge that not all families have access to online platforms at all times, if this is the case, we will provide paper copies of the activities provided. We do encourage families to use the online platform wherever possible as this is the method that has been proven to help your child make more progress outside of school.
